Our Programs

Rainbow Kitchen are experts in food security. From daily hot meals and grab-and-go pantry items to supporting local schools and other not-for-profit’s with their food needs.

If you or someone you know is in need of food, Rainbow Kitchen can help. With a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, Rainbow Kitchen serves 10,000 meals every month.

Hot Meals
Weekdays starting at 8:30am – until supplies last

Join us for a hot and delicious breakfast or lunch, served by our team of volunteers daily at Rainbow Kitchen. Vegetarian options available.

Schools
Launched January 2021

Our Pilot School Meal Program launched at Rockheights Middle School, feeding 1,000 breakfast meals each month to students and faculty.

Food Sharing
Weekdays 8am – 1pm

We rescue food from grocery stores, farmers, wholesalers and more to distribute to anyone in need.

Rainbow Kitchen regularly contributes to:

Living Edge Market:
Operating multiple local markets providing fresh and dry goods, with no fees or registration required.

Esquimalt Farmers Market:
Many local farmers and vendors support with donations and is a magic piece of our community to visit each week during the market seasons

PEERS Victoria Resource Society:
Weekly prepared meals to feed 25 individuals

Sooke Family Resource Society:
Bulk protein donations of frozen individual portioned proteins, delivered to isolated & marginalized communities

James Bay New Horizons Society:
Creating and packaging 200 meals for delivery to isolated individuals in the CRD.

Victoria Native Friendship Centre:
Weekly bulk donations of dry goods to support essential hamper programs.
