A Holiday Fundraiser Helping to Feed Local Students

The Festive Bricks of Giving exhibition is back for another season of wonder, creativity, and community impact. Presented by The Parkside Hotel & Spa in partnership with the Victoria Rainbow Kitchen Society, this month-long interactive event fundraiser invites locals and visitors alike to experience a world of imagination, featuring LEGO® creations—all to help raise funds to feed local students across the Capital Regional District (CRD).

Location: The Parkside Hotel & Spa (810 Humboldt St)
The Festive Bricks of Giving transforms the Parkside Hotel’s breathtaking atrium into a holiday wonderland. Guests can explore dazzling LEGO® cityscapes designed by the Victoria LEGO® Users Group (VicLUG), watch model trains travel through miniature villages, and marvel at a custom bridge created by MAC Island Construction, spanning the hotel’s iconic koi pond.
Families can also enjoy interactive LEGO® play stations, admire student LEGO® builds inspired by local school meal programs, and take home a LEGO® ornament by donation, where every ornament sold supports Rainbow Kitchen’s work in local schools.
Our Goal - $50,000!
Did you know that 1 in 3 school aged kids in Greater Victoria is food insecure? For the last 3 years Rainbow Kitchen has been working to address this need with their ‘Fridge of Love’ program in 6 local Victoria schools.
Each ‘Fridge of Love’ is stocked with freshly baked muffins, fruit, yogurt and more and is accessible to anyone who needs a snack – student, faculty or visitors alike.
This years’ fundraising goal is $50,000 which would help us launch and fund another ‘Fridge of Love’ in our community for a whole year!
